SHG ESTATE 'POZO AZUL'
Two coffees that are destined to break the mold of the generally clean and neutral coffees from Honduras are proudly being offered for the first time through Holland Coffee.

The mountain of Pozo Azul (Blue Well) located on the south-eastern section of the Department of Santa Barbara, rises from the edges of Lake Yojoa from 2'500 to 4'500 feet above sea level. On the highlands of these mountains grows a coffee that has been nourished by adequate rainfall and fertile terrain. The coffee has a deep-green appearance and is graced with a lively acidity and rounded body.

Ripe cherrySHG ESTATE 'MINAS DE ORO'
The small town "Minas de Oro" (Gold Mines) is located in the northeastern part of the department of Comayuagua. The beautiful mountains that surround this small town, where electricity arrived only a few years ago, contain many small plantations where unpretentious land owners pride themselves in producing one of the best Strictly High Grown coffees in Honduras and also for preserving proper washing techniques to guarantee a high quality product. This area still contains some of the old Arabigo varieties, very fertile soil, and a nearly perfect microclimate. The coffee is mostly sun-dried, has a dark green appearance and a nicely balanced cup with excellent acidity and flavor. Flowering takes place in April and harvesting from January to March.
