BUCARAMANGA 'SAN GIL CAMPESINO'
History talks about Santander as being the first region to cultivate coffee in Colombia which has therefore preserved a very conservative and traditional coffee-culture. The high percentage of Typica and Borbon trees (about 70%) has allowed the Bucaramanga coffees to be full bodied and nutty. Almost all coffee is grown on 'minifundios' or small farms which guarantee individual processing of our beans and delivery of almost perfectly clean parchment.

Heart of Colombia Coffee Growing RegionThe growing areas for our San Gil Campesino are located to the North East of Bucaramanga, the department's capital. Santander's crop is available all year around, and Supremos represent about 20-25% compared to 12-18% in the rest of the country.

ESTATE NARINO 'VINTAGE'
The Department of Narino is situated in the extreme south of Colombia, neighboring Ecuador, and it's capital Pasto is at an altitude of 2'527 M. The Narino coffee growing area is considered one of the best in Colombia due to its location around the volcano 'Galeras' which has provided the surrounding soil with excellent growing conditions for coffee as well as other crops. The average elevation for Narino coffee is between 1'500 and 2'100 M. This growing area still boasts about 40% - 50% of the traditional Arabica plant, therefore favorably influencing the cup qualities. About 50% - 60% of the coffee is sundried the old fashioned way and our 'Vintage' is picked from one special area only where our relationship with the producers and exporters has been the cornerstone of our quality!

Rural classroom in ColombiaKnown as one of the more remote coffee growing regions in Colombia, Narino produces about 300'000 Bags of coffee every year (about 2% of total Colombian production). Narino is also the only region of Colombia where the crop cycle is inverted due to its geographical location! Main Crop: March/April - June/July (70%) Fly Crop: October - December (30%)

In the southern end of the department of Tolima, located above the town of Chaparral, Tuluni coffee is grown amongst one of the most beautiful natural attractions in the country, the Caves of Tuluni. This coffee is traditionally fermented and sundried. The shipping months are October/November for main crop and March/April for fly crop/mid crop. This pure Arabica variety grows at 5,300 ft. The sorting method is done by hand and electronically. There are 5000 bags available per season. The cup quality has a medium body, medium to high acidity with a nice creamy sweetness.
